Registered volunteers can send an immediate notification of their interest in a volunteer position from their home page, just log in, find the position and hit the apply button.

New volunteers please read this first

To volunteer at Oxfam Australia you will need to meet the following criteria:

• You should currently reside in Australia
• You should be eligible to work in Australia.
• You should be 18 years or older
• To register online you will need a valid email address. If you don’t have one you can get one for free at Hotmail or Yahoo
• If you register with a hotmail account, you will need to add the address 'oxfam.org.au' to your account’s safe list to stop hotmail from classifying email originating from Oxfam Australia as junk mail.
• To register offline please call Oxfam Australia on 1800 088 110 and request a volunteer registration form to be sent out to your postal address.

Helpful information before you register:

• Most of our volunteer positions are based at our offices around Australia, i.e. Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. We also have vibrant communities of supporters in the ACT and Tasmania which require volunteer assistance. Positions occasionally arise that can be done outside of an office via electronic communications.
• Having your current CV handy will assist you in filling in the registration form.
• When you register on VIVA, Oxfam Australia’s volunteer database, the system will give you a username and you will be asked to choose your own password. Please remember these, they will let you re-enter the database to alter your details.
