THANK YOU!!
Well we're healing up ok, Nick's feet are still wrecked, Stace possibly hasn't taken the the tape off her toes in fear of missing nails, Greg's still on pain killers and Amy's done a stint in hospital.... but we're sweet and proud of our efforts!
We especially want to thank the BEST support crew in the world: Eileen Vlahovich, Karley Brooks, Jono Hewson and Matt Hewson. We seriously could not have got through the 100km without them. We had great food, encouraging comments, the clothes off their backs (literally) and an inspirational speech- it was amazing!
We arrived at the Finish line to a great supportive crowd, our sick team mate and some well earned beers, though they didn't go down as nicely as we'd have thought! The last 11km were the hardest seeing as the markings seemed to be sparse and we found ourselves slightly lost is a park in the dark at one stage. But we trudged on with some help of other generous teams and then Stace's dad who provided us with our forgotten torch! We were quite emotional and almost delerious (as you are after 100km and 40 hours without sleep) and proud to be making it over the line. It was 36-ish gruelling hours but all for a great cause.
Thanks SO much to everyone who has donated and supported us along the way. Special thanks to PEGASUS CREATIVE for our awesome shirts (got awesome comments all along the way!), MPS, EAGLE HAWK HOTEL and CALLUM PARK for being our shirt sponsors!
As a thank you to our supporters we're having a bash at the Eagle Hawk Hotel in Sutton this Saturday afternoon- lunch, drinks, footy etc. Should be a great time and hope everyone can join us!

7 stages down, 2 to go!
The team has 1 checkpoint left and then its on to the finish line! Despite a tonne of blisters, some more vomiting and some serious chafing, they are all doing extremely well! They are all looking forward too walking over the finish line and knocking back a nice cold beverage (of the alcoholic persuasion!) Only 18 more kilometres; they are a true inspiration!
28 August
Halfway through!
The team has finally reached halfway and although the majority aren't looking too bad (except for some leg cramps and some tired, grumpy moments) one member has had to unfortunately pull out. After a valiant effort, pushing through sore feet and headaches, an uneasy stomach has proved to be the last straw. The team and support crew are extremely impressed and proud of her efforts and hope she gets well soon! The rest of the team have soldiered on, despite feeling upset about the sudden departure from the group. Stay tuned for the next update as the finish line, and exhaustion, loom near.
27 August
Checkpoint 2
The guys are going strong and are through the hardest 32km of the walk. So far so good with little complaints and plenty of high spirits; lets hope the good moods last through the night!
27 August
And so it begins!
The day has finally come, and all the teams hardwork and dedication is about to pay off! 2 blondes, a doc and a ginger are at the starting line ready to embark on a greuling 100km walk to help people around the world. Please stay tuned for more updates and continue to give the team your support!

Two Weeks!!!
Two weeks till we're off and walking! We've made lists, bought supplies, organised estimated time frames and we're getting pumped.
Don't forget to keep the donations coming, although our target has been met there are crazy floods in Pakistan and mud slides in China that have occurred and don't forget that Haiti and other disaster fronts haven't recovered yet. Funds are desperately needed.
In two weeks you'll be able to watch our progress through the check points by looking up our team number on the TeamTracker section of this site and hopefully we'll have some picture updates here and on Facebook on the day from our killer support crew!
Dig Deep guys! This is going to be a tough one!

Start to Checkpoint 2
We trekked up to Sydney on the weekend just gone to hit the trail as we'd never been there before! The team along with Jono and Di set out at about 8.15am- realising very quickly when we were greeted by the world's steepest hill that it wasn't going to be easy!
We pushed through and hit the first checkpoint at about lunch time where we rested and had some lunch. Di parted ways with us here as we pushed on.
We soon realised why CP1-CP2 is graded at 5... it was difficult! And when we hit Berowra Waters and realised that it WASN'T checkpoint 2 we were a little discouraged. However we worked hard and came out at CP2. Amy's feet were becoming numb and Greg's knees were aching and the rest of us were pretty buggered. As darkness was setting in we called it a day.
Knowing that we'd completed the most difficult part feels great and we're ready to continue our training down Canberra way until the big day!
09 July
Hitting the Trail....
We've got the trailmix packed, the bandaids ready and the walking poles strapped in... We are pumped up and ready to go... tomorrow we will attempt Check Points 1-3 as a team with a couple of extras!
Its the most difficult part of the trail and we're eager to see how the bodies hold up.
More reports and pictures after we're done!
