Today Jill Munro (aka Mary H), Jane Seymour (aka Melinda B - not Mel B from the Spice Girls) and Sabrina Duncan (aka Chris B) took off to Brooklyn to walk to Berowra and then for Jill and Sabrina it was an about turn back to Cowan for more hills... whilst Melinda headed back to Sydders to prepare for the working week ahead. Melinda is a veteran of no less than 6 Oxfam trailwalkers... we are hoping that she will make it 7... a great day of walking, not too hot, not too cold, a just a nice dose of sunshine. Jane (aka Duracell Girl) is off to Macchu Pichu in a coupla daze (all the very best, Jane) and Helen (aka Kelly Garrett) has just got off Mt Blanc and we look forward to her safe return to Oz! We met some chaps who are heading off to Kokoda track in a couple of weeks. Melinda has done the Kokoda track so it was nice to stop and have a chat. Great to meet heaps of happy Oxfam walkers on the trail training and to have a quick chat on passing. Lots of fun. Next weekend, Chris is off to NZ to play in the snow so that leaves Mary and Melinda in charge of training for all of us (we will all be there in spirit!). Hoo roo for now, til next time, the Tight Tushies!

Hi everyone and welcome to our team page! Its another Oxfam and we are excited to be involved and are looking forward to seeing how far and fast we can go - both with fundraising and walking the course. The team is loosely Mary H (aka Jill Munro), Jane G (this year's Duracell Girl), Chris B (aka Sabrina Duncan) with reserve Helen M (aka Kelly Garrett). We have a couple of other girlies keen to participate so hopefully we can confirm them soon and then we have a team with reserves and we can all train together and have fun. We have been training it seems non stop since, well, February as we participated in the first ever WWoT Coastal Trek in February and it seems we have not stopped since. We are all also training for various treks and mountaineering trips. Right now Helen is on Mt Blanc, Jane is off to Machu Pichu in a week or so, Chris is training for Cho-Oyu and Mary is planning her next adventure, having been on Kili last year. So, to be able to participate in Oxfam trailwalker as well is pretty exciting for us. A few of us did 40kms on the track last week, choosing the hilly bits. This week weather thwarted us and we have all trained off track. We are keen to try and do 50-60kms on the track next week... fingers crossed with the weather and conditions under foot. We will keep everyone updated along the way. More photos to come. All the best, Chris and the girlies.
