Final Stretch

post image

Just over a week out from the walk and it's great to see a big surge in donations lately. Thank you to everyone who has supported us, and more importantly have been generous enough to give to Oxfam Australia so they can continue doing the good work they do. Just a note to everyone that this Sunday, we are putting on a performance in Chinatown, Sydney on Dixon St near the Chinese Youth League clubhouse so please come down. We will be doing this in the name of fundraising for Oxfam Australia, with every dollar we collect on the day going towards our fundraising efforts for the Trailwalker. So whether you wish to donate, or simply to just watch us perform, please come down and check it out, and come have a chat with us, either about Lion Dancing, CYL, Oxfam or just to say hi. The weather is currently looks like it will be kind to us, so it would make a great afternoon. The details are: Sunday 22nd August 2pm-5pm CYL Club House 10 Dixon Street Haymarket NSW 2000 Thanks all!

Getting on track

As the date draws nearer the boys have started getting back into the swing of things. After training hard towards Lionfest 2010, our focus now is solely on the walk. Efforts to raise money have been stepped up so hopefully we'll reach our goal with all your support. Unfortunately, with Lok trying to recover from an injured hamstring, Chris tearing his ankle a month back (whilst also still being excessively hairy), Jong finally realising he's not a mechanic by cutting up his hand under his car, and Adrian, well you know Adrian.. preparations have slowed slightly. Nonetheless the boys are keen as ever to successfully complete the challenge.. after all, we weren't born to lose.

TEAM WORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK

post image

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend.
