Training anywhere any time
Yesterday half of the Wrigley Warriors completed the Bay to Bay 12KM fun run on the Central Coast from Woy Woy to Gosford. Warwick Johnson completed the race in 55 minutes and George Munro in 68 minutes... where was the rest of the team you ask, well Ben was off at Skirmish and Ross was floating somewhere off the coast of Italy. Yes work to be done with those two. Fundraising is going well with us hitting the $3,000 mark over the weekend, next Monday we have a BBQ and Cake day at work.

40 KM training
On the Queens Birthday public holiday the Wrigley Warriors teamed up with Extra Small to complete 40KM from Pacific Highway, Mount Kuring-Gai to St Ives Showground and return the same way. Effectively we covered 2.5 sections twice, starting at 6.30am and taking 7 hours 17 minutes for the round trip. We are still on track for our goal time of 20 hours, it is a tough goal but thats us. The girls team of three Extra Small girls and one Extra Small guy did well on their first official hit out as a team. The article above shows yesterdays training including elevation.

Three sections... well almost
The Wrigley Warriors completed a tough training session on Sunday 30th May. Commencing at 7.15am at Brooklyn boat ramp, we finished at the Pacific Highway, top of Lyrebird Gully at 3.00PM. 38.5KM in 7 hours 45 minutes, not a bad effort for completing the hardest part of the trial, we are still on track to finish in under 20 hours.

Treadmill in the Mall at Hornsby
We had a great day with our fellow team Extra Small where we ran over 80Km in 8 hours and raised $875 through generous donations from the public. Many thanks to Millennium Health Club at Waitara who provided the teradmill and shelter for the day. On sunday many of us backed up with a 18Km bush run from Berowra to Cowan, return to Berowra via the highway. We are now in serious training and fund raising.

29 April
1st official training session
The Wrigley Warriors have commenced training on April 26th with a short 20KM run through the bush from Quarry rd, Hornsby Heights to Berowra Community Centre. Although not the official track was reasonably hard and did not want to scare off Ben too early. Next session is Saturday May 1st at Hornsby Mall, 100KM on a treadmill, come along and lend your support if you are in the area, right next to the fountain. Photo is Ben, Warwick & George at Sam's creek.
