Are you keen to support the Oxfam TRAILWALKER cause, but 100km seems a bit much?
Set your sights on the most rewarding role on the trail – become a Trailwalker Volunteer!
Oxfam TRAILWALKER is no mean feat; with over 1100 volunteer shifts filled across the weekend in 2010, it is the volunteers that truly make the event the success it is.
In 2011 we’re aiming to improve on the success of previous years as we launch into the planning stages for our ninth annual event.
Despite record shift numbers and over 800 vollunteers in 2010, we still need more! Volunteers provide vital safety roles for our walkers as well as taking care of the trail logistics, parking, managing Checkpoints and being a constant source of support to our participants
An overwhelming community, corporate and allied health response to our request for volunteers enables us to deliver exceptional service levels to participants. No matter what your skill set or interests, we have a role for you!

Volunteer prize winner for 2010!
In 2010, Peregrine Adventures generously donated the prize of a trip for two to Vietnam. This prize was won by Lisa Reece-Lane.. This incredible prize was offered as a 'thank you' to one lucky volunteer - drawn at randon from all volunteers who turned up for their shifts during the event. Lisa volunteered for a number of roles and typified the selfless nature of our awesome volunteers when she initially refused the prize, asking for it to be donated to someone "more worthy". As a local author and keen Oxfam supporter, Lisa was persuaded to accept this 'thank you' in recognition of all the great work our volunteers do every year which make this a truly inspiring experience for so many.

All Hands on Deck for Melbourne 2011!
In 2011 we are going to need an even greater level of support from our ever-devoted volunteers.
Young and old, experienced and inexperienced are encouraged to sign up – along with everyone in between!
This year we'd love to encourage members of the local community, bushwalking groups, families and high school* groups to apply – it's a great team-building exercise, with multitudes of benefits!
*please note that all minors must be accompanied by an adult/legal guardian throughout their shift.
