B.A.N.D AID 13 November

So BAND AID is at it again, this time with "Daredevil" Darren Sibbison and "Mad Matt" Herbert looking to come back from injury (post-Everest) to complete another record time for the team. Ben Lockwood our resident athlete will no doubt breeze through it on his hands again, and we look forward to raising the pledged amount of $1000 and more with the help of our generous supporters and work mates. LY we completed the course in the satisfying time of approx 16.5 hrs, which meant we were the 19th full team to cross the line, which made us all very pleased we had stuck at it. This placed us in 1st place in our category so an unbelievable finish overall. A special mention to Rockinbird who had shunned training in lieu of dancing, and didn't bat an eyelid all the way to the finish. We look to beating this time and this result, as I know the team has it in them. For those who don't know we have just completed a 3 week training camp in the Himilayas that should see us ready to go come March/April. Anyone who would like to help the team out on the day is welcomed to come and support, but most importantly doNate, which you know will be a worthy cause. I have to mention our fantastic support crew from our last 2 years in the race, the Amazing Amy, and Big D and Maz Sibbison, who made the long journey easy with their fine preparation and constant enthusiasm. Special mention to Melissa and Mike who went out of their way to deliver a fine snack at checkpoint 2, and we look forward to her tasty muffins and buns again next year. We look forward to seeing Darren "Ears" Sibbison back on track after an unfortuNate moto spill, and we will be taking applications for an emergency replacement in the event he cannot play on the day, but all of our thoughts and best wishes are with him during his recovery, get back out there asap "Ears". That's it for now but in the event that Millsy is still on stage and can't make it back, start training, or doNate.
