worth walking about... 27 October

On the 27th of March 2009, Jess, Kat, Atlanta and Leah will set out from Wheelers Hill in Victoria, with an aim to make it to Wesburn, 100 km away, in less than 48 hours. It's certainly insane, but it is definitely possible.

Now, just so we're clear...

1) It's not a relay. All four of us will walk the 100 km together;
2) It's non stop. We don't do it over a series of days or weeks. We plan to walk 100 km in 27 hours straight; and
3) It's hard. It's the best and worst thing we'll ever do.

It might not be your personal cup of tea, but that doesn't mean you can't help us out. We've pledged to raise $5000 for Oxfam Australia and that's where you come in. Donate your hard earned dollars for the beauty of a tax deduction and that oh so good charitable feeling. I'd say money can't buy it, but it can, so please sponsor us by using the links on this page.

A few things to bear in mind:

1) A fifty dollar donation equates to just 50c a kilometre. Divide that by four and you're looking at 12.5c a kilometre...just putting it into perspective for you. That said, everything counts, donate a dollar and we'll be grateful!!;
2) We don't want to lose friends, the aim is to make this fun, so there is no pressure. We'll be hosting some events in the coming months so feel free to support us in that way; and
3) We're also scouting for support crew. So if you're looking to take a Friday off work, help us out, support a fantastic charity and have four girls permanently indebted to you, then this is for you. Contact lobrien@claytonutz.com for more information.
