Two more sleeps!
In less than 48hrs we will be on our way walking towards Wesburn! All the last minute organising and packing of gear and food is all that is left to do. We have all trained hard and are looking forward to the walk itself. A big thank-you to everyone who has sponsored us, it is appreciated by both us and Oxfam. Also a very big thank-you to our support team, we couldn't imagine trying to do this without you, so Thanks!

The big training walk!
Well we all survived 60km! We started out well and gradually deteriorated until we all had various styles of waddles going... Glenn in particular looked like a duck! After much discussion Kristen, Glenn and Matty all decided walking poles were the way to go, although we have a complex now after 3 passers by mentioned something to do with skiing and/or the lack of snow. Glenn decided to look even more strange by refusing to remove his head torch all day, but then when it got dark he thought he could see by the moon (he did eventually turn it on). At the 35ish kilometer mark the boys decided that they had enough of tea-tree and ducking down, so the paddock look like a better option. Thankfully no-one got hurt jumping fences. Depsite the seemingly good idea, technology was not on our side, and against Glenn's better judgement we trusted the never before tested new GPS phone of Grog's. Well, we missed the return point to the trail from the paddock and had to do some extra wondering to find our way back. Luckily we found the trail again without too much of a problem and extra walking. Not successful as a shortcut though! So, after 60km we all had blisters.. even Grog! His first one ever in his life! Matty also suffered from a bung knee, Grog's groin was on the way out, Glenn got some interesting chafing and Kristen still has swollen feet and a weird rash all over them. Can't wait to see what we'll look like after 100km! Thanks for all the support and donations so far!

Training update 02
After a team walk along the Eastern Freeway and Main Yarra Trail the boys had a weekend off for more exciting things, like a buck's party! Kristen, meanwhile, completed the BRW corporate triathlon. So after clocking up around 400km of training we are doing the last big one this weekend, hopefully injury free!

Training update 01
Just wanted to let everyone know that we have been training hard - even experiencing bird droppings and bee stings out on the trail (actually, that was just Kristen)! For a change of scenery we completed the 2 Bays Walking Track (plus a bit) a couple of weeks ago and Matty finally saw a podiatrist. Thanks for all the support so far!
