Just a little update for our loyal band of supporters. Thank you to all those who have or do donate to Oxfam through our team page. It is assisting us in achieving our goal as well as supporting Oxfam who do a great amount of work around the world to help the diadvantaged. Rob and I (Michael) went for a little stroll on Easter Saturday. We set off from McDonalds at Renmark and did 5 x 2 hour spells in different locations. Probably covered near enough to 60 kilometres and both pulled up really well. It gave us both a bit more confidence as we have had an interrupted preparation in recent weeks. Rob has been laid low by some killer bug which has left him zapped of all his energy and bed-ridden (almost) for last few weeks. I jave had my annual back ache which ends up with shooting pain down my buttocks and continuing down the hamstring. This left me unable to do any training for a couple of weeks as well. We both seem to be over our troubles and really looking forward to arriving in Melbourne next week. We will be staying at Holly Lodge which is in Kalorama (part of the Dandenongs). It is nicely situated about half way along our walk which will be good for our support team who can call in there to refresh before the night kicks in. David and Josh have been battling on by themselves (I hope) as they live too far away from Rob and I to train together. Thanks again to all those who have donated, shown interest and support at various times. It all helps. Remember to track our progress come the day by coming to this web page. As we go through various check points the website will be updated. I will also send some text messages to this site to let everyone know how we are feeling. Until then. Just thought we should add some personal touch to our home page. Here is one of our walkers (David Jolley). You are now the human face to our team David. Keep training guys. To all visitors, feel free to donate even small amounts. It all will help us reach our target and Oxfam do some great work around the world. Cheers Cop This Lot
