At Oxfam, it’s not just our logo that’s green!
Oxfam Australia's vision is of a fair world in which people control their own lives, their basic rights are achieved and the environment is sustained.
At Oxfam Australia we are committed to measuring and taking steps to reduce our environmental footprint in all aspects of our operations, including reducing our carbon emission with the ultimate aim of becoming carbon neutral. As part of our commitment we’re taking steps to reduce the environmental impact of Oxfam TRAILWALKER Melbourne.
Every little bit helps
At Oxfam TRAILWALKER Melbourne HQ we endeavour to do our best to conserve resources, reduce carbon emissions and protect the delicate environment. You will find a number of current initiatives and practices under the ‘What we are doing’ section. We will strive to continue to do what we can over the coming years to reduce our environmental footprint but we can’t do it without a little help from our wonderful participants and support crews. Under the ‘What you can do’ section you will find some helpful ways in which you can assist minimise your environmental impact.
These are not exhaustive lists and we do not imagine that everyone can do everything, but we would appreciate any steps you can take to help us care for this amazing and beautiful environment you get to experience on your journey to being extraordinary!
We will continue to update these pages as we think of new and innovative ways in which we can reduce our impact on the environment. Please contact us if you have any suggestions, questions or comments about the Oxfam TRAILWALKER sustainability program.
